- Saturday, January 13th
- 9AM - 5PM
- Central Library - Brooklyn Public Library
What are the projects?
- The theme of the showcase is “local businesses” / “tech for good”.
- Student groups will identify a local business and come up with an idea for a product built in Meta Spark Studio that will benefit that business.
- Students are welcome to reach out to the local business but are not required to do so.
- The goal is to use AR to address a need for the business’ customers.
How will students work on projects?
- We encourage individual participation in the project.
- Students may work in small groups of 2 students.
- Regardless of group size, all students must participate in the showcase.
What will students deliver for the showcase?
- Students should arrive at event with projects 90-100% prepped.
- A short Google Slides/PowerPoint/Canva deck presentation is recommended to accompany project though optional. See: Suggested Student Presentation Outline
- If you opt out of a deck, please ensure the effect itself with an oral explanation of its utility is clear.
- Presentations must be a minimum of 4 minutes long and no longer than 7 minutes long.
- Students must also come ready to live demo their projects with their devices properly prepped
